Creamy Kielbasa and Broccoli Pasta

Makes:

Ingredients:
8 ounce Penne or fusilli pasta
1 pound Kielbasa sausage
1 large head Broccoli
2 tbsp Water
3/4 tsp Kosher salt, divided
1/2 cup Heavy whipping cream
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp Fresh ground pepper
3/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese

 

Preparation:
Cook the pasta according to directions.

While pasta is cooking, slice the kielbasa as thin as possible.

Wash dry and trim the broccoli into bite-size florets.

Place the sausage in a large deep-sided skillet over medium-high heat. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes. Add the broccoli, water and 1/4 tsp. salt; cover with lid.

Cook for 3 minutes, stir and test for doneness. Broccoli should be bright green, fork tender and still crisp.

While the broccoli is cooking, whisk together the cream, Italian seasoning, remaining 1/2 tsp. salt and the pepper. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sausage and broccoli. Stir and add the cream sauce.

Sprinkle with the cheese and stir to melt.
